The Hudson Valley Young Farmers Coalition was founded in 2012 to address the challenges we face launching careers in agriculture in the Hudson Valley including access to land, credit and capital. We are a social and business network that encourages cooperation and communication among farmers.

The HVYFC leadership team is made up of farmers and farm advocates elected from our membership annually. If you're interested in running for a position, join our listserv for announcements about winter nominations and elections.

It’s easier than ever to join the National Young Farmers Coalition, with sliding scale membership fees starting at just $1! To be elected to our organizing committee, current membership is required. For all other work with the HVYFC, membership to the National Coalition is not required but is encouraged.  Coalition members help set federal policy priorities and receive exclusive discounts on select farm supplies and gear. Join now to make your voice heard! https://www.youngfarmers.org/become-a-member/

There are also lots of other ways to participate. We’re always looking for organizers new and seasoned, designers and people with communications skills, grant writers and fundraisers, policy wonks, and more! Email us at hvyoungfarmers@gmail.com to find out how to see how you can get involved.

Our previous events and activities include: Annual Farm Tour + Potluck Series, Annual Spring Mixers, Food Safety Letter Writing Campaign, Non-GMO Grain Buying Club, Soil Science Book Club, 'Farmland for Farmers' campaign and more.
